Integrating with third-party issue tracking software
ChangeGear can integrate with third-party issue tracking software, allowing you to share ticket data with other applications. Updates made in ChangeGear are synchronized with the other application and vice versa, ensuring consistency across both systems. This simplifies the process of deploying ChangeGear alongside an existing issue tracker.
ChangeGear's integration service is based on mapping internal ChangeGear entities to external projects and fields. A project in the external application maps to a ChangeGear module, and a field in the external application maps to field in the ChangeGear module. You can create multiple mappings per module and per field, as well as direction-specific mappings (e.g. you can configure ChangeGear to send updates, but not receive them).
